Weekend Challenge

I challenge everyone to do one positive thing for your finances this weekend.
It doesn’t have to be big.
Here are a few ideas:
- Shop around for your cable, cell phone, insurance or other services and see if you can get a better rate
- Take your change to the bank
- Post some things for sale on Craigslist
- Open an online savings account
- Start getting things together for a garage sale
- Cut coupons out of the Sunday paper
- Calculate your net worth if you don’t already know it
What will/did you do this weekend?
I’m going to work on setting up a website for my graphic design snowflaking business.

Nice challenge! I’ll list a few more things for sale on Amazon. Have a great weekend.
excellent challenge! i didn’t do a whole lot, but i did stop on my way home from work on friday to make sure that my tires were properly inflated, knowing that i would be going on a long road trip on saturday. it was your reminder that made me think to do it, and i’m sure it did my gas mileage good!
thanks

hah! and… i forgot to put the cap back on one of the tires, so it went flat! but, i got that taken care of for free, and tires plus gave me a free tire gauge (i was going to buy one this week anyhow, so that’s like $2 saved!).
Well, I got carried away working on my other website and decided to switch this over to self-hosting. Of course, I decided that at 9:00 last night and haven’t gotten everything figured out yet. Hopefully the site will be fixed later tonight… Considering I can’t even write a new post without everything freezing up
Good job, guys! Even with the accidental stuff…
I went to CVS tonight for “The Drugstore Game,” and bought the CVS brand toothbrush on accident instead of the one that would end up being free (it was in the wrong spot and they look exactly the same). But the cashier showed me this machine that spits out coupons, and one was for $3 off any CVS brand purchases of $10 or more. The $2.99 toothbrush put me over the $10 limit, so I guess it ended up being free after all! I love money surprises…
